Once upon a trip to Bear Lake...

we decided to camp up Green Canyon. Being the two very prepared camping girls we are, we began to set up camp and realized that Stacie forgot a sleeping bag and I forgot a pillow! We also realized that we had no flashlight and no toilet paper. Talk about roughin' it! It was a fun night out anyhow. We looked at the gorgeous stars and froze in the tent. Saturday morning we haeded up to the lake for Raspberry Days! It was gorgeous weather and it was so nice to enjoy the sunshine! Chris bought Stacie some sweet crab glasses and we made sure they got plenty of wear.
On the walk back to the car, we bought the most delicous chocolate covered raspberries. It wasn't a block later that my plastic bag broke and they all toppled out onto the gravel. I began to pick them up and tell Stacie that they were okay. But, in my panic of picking them up she convinced me they weren't good. We laughed really hard.

A NEW CAR!

So I am a little behind in saying that I have a new car. It is a bit of an upgrade from my 1998 Toyota Corolla. Introducing... the 2007 Honda Civic. I actually decided on the car without even driving it, I was at work when my dad called and told me he just drove a great car that was a really good price. He told me it was such a great deal that I had to decide right then if I wanted it. Talk about a little pressure!!! The decision was extremely stressful, all ten minutes of it. But, I called him back and said, "I guess I will have it." The very next day we drove to Orem and picked up the car. After a few hours of extremely deep cleaning, inside and out, the car was perfect! The first few days it did not feel like my car at all. I drive old cars, not new ones. It took me a few days to get used to tinted windows too, it is tougher to see out the back. I think the funniest moment was me on the freeway trying to figure out how to turn the lights on. People must have wondered what was going on...dark....brights....off...brights again...oh, finally normal. I had my old car for a little over a week and yesterday afternoon I turned the keys over. It was a strange moment, seeing the little car I drove for 6 years drive away with a new owner. I guess I can see it driving every now and then, since our friend and neighbor bought it.

Sunday Afternoon...

It is Sunday Afternoon, the weekend is almost gone and it is getting closer and closer to Monday. Another weekend come and gone, and another work week on the horizon. This weekend was filled with friends and fun things. I went to the Art Festival at the Salt Lake Library with Rachel, Brad, and Jarom. There was awesome music and inspiring art. Saturday, although I had to spend a few hours at work, was a great day. Aokyo brought me a lychee smoothie, which was definatly different. I learned quite a lot about Pat, the owner. She lived in Korea and Hong Kong for 5 years. She was the youngest HR director at GE and the only female director. She is a pretty impressive lady. I headed from Park City to Springville where I visited with family and went to a wedding reception. I saw some of my best friends from Logan, which made my day! I stopped by Alpine on my way home and chatted with Jen, Ryan and Shellee. I haven't laughed that hard in a long while! Now it is Sunday, church was really good. I received a warm greeting from the Devine family which always makes a person feel great. I still am adjusting to the new ward. I miss familiar faces and attending a student ward versus a singles ward. You may think they are the same thing, but there is a big difference! It is a good ward though and the more people I get to know, the more I like it. So there it is, my weekend at a glance.
