Joshua Radin and Missy Higgins

Last night I was able to go to Joshua Radin and Missy Higgins . . .What a concert! I love both of these artists and I would have to say this show is definatly on my top list of concerts attended! It was at the venue with a smaller crowd, which I love. There was no opening band and so they each played a ton of music. Good Times!

She played a new song that was really fitting to my life, It is for a movie scene and it is about a girl that was living life full speed, "running so fast," having her life planned out ahead of her, she did all those things she wanted, she graduated school and found herself a little lost and a little stuck on where she should go and what she should do. I love the lyrics.

So here I am Treading water again

This is not what I had planned When I saw this day

We run so fast With the wind on our tails

And the hope in our young hearts

Yeah we run so fast Oh we run so, we run so fast

Until now I've been bold I've laughed at fire

I've danced through the unknown

Oh but lately things have shaked me

Some paint this land For a want to believe

There's a hole in a dead end That you can let me see

This dark is strong I've been trying to move

But the inside is square one It won't let me through

Until now I've been bold I've laughed at fire

I've danced through the unknown

But lately things have shaked me

Do we ever have control?

I swear I thought I knew where rivers flow

But lately things have shaked me

High School Musical 3

It was Saturday evening and as I got home from work Mom and Dad were going out for dinner and Megan was seeing HSM3 with friends. That left Kayla and I alone at home, what better to do than have a girls night and go see HSM3 too! We first stopped at the Thanksgiving point deli for shakes. And then to kill some time before the show we happened upon a Fall Festival . There we found a childhood favorite. . . War Heads. I forgot how sour they were and don't worry, we snapped a picture of our sour faces. Troy and Gabriella did not let us down in this teenage chick flick. It was a Disney spectacular with dancing and singing, basketball and drama club. High School Musical!

A week in the City

I can't believe New York has come and gone. Stacie and I had such a blast the whole week. We learned how to really travel! One backpack and a list of things to tackle.
One of our most favorite adventures in New York was renting bikes and biking through central park. It was amazing! The only way to see central park!
When in New York one must always see a broadway show. Our show of choice. . . The Lion King. The costumes were amazing!
We were really brave and took the China Bus from NY to DC. We went to Chinatown address for the bus station and this lady walked up to us. She asked, "Where you going?" We told her we were looking for the bus station and she replied, "Where you going? I am the bus station." Don't worry, we made it to DC and spent the day backpacking to all the memorials. We packed light but they sure got heavy after awhile. Our last day in the city was spent looking for boots. We saw all kinds of boots all during the week and we decided that we wanted a pair!Goodbye New York! Until Next Time
